Swachhta Hi Sewa (Cleanliness is Service) campaign at the Embassy of India, Nouakchott.
On the occasion of #Swachhotsav (Festival of Cleanliness), Team India in Mauritania – Embassy of India, Nouakchott, led by Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Naresh Kumar joined in promoting cleanliness and sustainability at the Embassy and surrounding areas! The Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign is in full swing, inspiring everyone to keep our surroundings clean, green, and hygienic.
The initiative was launched by Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. During this initiative, several Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) underwent thorough clean-up and Safai Mitr (Cleaning staff) felicitated.
As part of the initiative, Ambassador also administered the #SwachhtaPledge to all members of the Embassy to keep our surroundings clean & devote 100 hours per year and 2 hours per week for volunteering towards cleanliness initiatives and spreading awareness among others.
From waste segregation to eco-friendly practices, let’s pledge to make our cities a shining example of cleanliness and responsibility.
Together, let’s make a difference for a cleaner and healthier environment!

Campagne « Swachhta Hi Sewa » (La propreté est un service) à l’Ambassade de l’Inde, Nouakchott
À l’occasion de #Swachhotsav (Festival de la Propreté), l’équipe de l’Inde en Mauritanie, dirigée par l’Ambassadeur, S.E. M. Naresh Kumar, a participé à la promotion de la propreté et de la durabilité au sein de l’Ambassade et dans ses environs. La campagne « Swachhta Hi Sewa » bat son plein, inspirant chacun à maintenir notre environnement propre, vert et hygiénique.
Dans le cadre de cette initiative, plusieurs Unités Cibles de Propreté (Cleanliness Target Units – CTUs) ont fait l’objet d’un nettoyage approfondi et les Safai Mitr (personnel de nettoyage) ont été honorés.
Dans le cadre de l’initiative, l’Ambassadeur a également fait prêter le #SwachhtaPledge (Serment de Propreté) à tous les membres de l’Ambassade, les engageant à maintenir leur environnement propre et à consacrer 100 heures par an et 2 heures par semaine au bénévolat pour des actions de propreté et à la sensibilisation de leur entourage.
De la gestion des déchets aux pratiques respectueuses de l’environnement, engageons-nous à faire de nos villes un exemple éclatant de propreté et de responsabilité.
Ensemble, faisons la différence pour un environnement plus propre et plus sain.
